СLIMATE SMART POTATO DEMONSTRATION CENTRES

In February 2024, AGRIСO UKRAINE LLC began implementing the Potato Seed Development Project with a production base at AF Andriyivske LLC (Chernihiv region) and Brovary Kartoplia LLC (Kyiv region).

The project involves the creation and operation of a Potato Demonstration Centre (Сlimate Smart Potato Demonstration Centre). The demonstration centre covers the entire chain of seed potato cultivation for farms from irrigation cultivation technology to storage and packaging. This Demonstration Centre will be the base for conducting trainings and exercises for farmers.

Since the Netherlands has always supported Ukrainian potato growers, this project is funded by the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, namely by RVO (Netherlands Enterprise Agency) within the framework of the Ukraine Partnership Facility program.

Announcement of the start of the Discussion Club

Agrico Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPP) and the Potato Institute of the NAAS of Ukraine will start the Discussion Club to consideration topics relevant to potato growing in the format of communication with leading experts-practitioners.

The topic of the first meeting is "the Preparation of potatoes for planting: soil preparation, crop rotation, weed killing, ploughing, fertiliser application and nutrients".

February 27, 2025, starting at 1:00 p.m. (Online and in person at the Potato Institute).
