On February 25, 2025, representatives of the company "Agrico Ukraine" took part in the seminar "Optimal technological solutions for potatoes in modern conditions", which was held in Kyiv region.
The event was organized by the company Agrico Ukraine, Adama Ukraine, Irrigator Ukraine and Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPP) .
During the Seminar, the participants heard Viktor Riznyk's reports (agro-technologist of the RVO project), on the topics: "Economics of growing commercial potatoes: 2024 season" (business case) and "Agrico varieties: answers to challenges for potato growers of the Kyiv region in the 2024 season".
Representatives of the organizers also presented reports on optimal technological solutions for potato protection in modern conditions, the use of foliar nutrition to increase yield and product quality, as well as innovative projects for drip irrigation of potatoes.
Representatives of the Agrico Ukraine on February 18, 2025, took part in the seminar "the Optimal technological solutions for potatoes and vegetables", which was held in the Dnipropetrovsk region.
The organizers of the event were the companies Adama Ukraine, Innova Seeds Ukraine, ICL and Agrico Ukraine.
During the Seminar, the participants heard a report by Viktor Riznyk (agro-technologist of the RVO project). He represented reports on the topics: "Economics of growing commercial potatoes: 2024 season" (Business case) and "Agrico varieties: answers to challenges for potato growers of the Dnipro region in the 2024 season".
The company Adama Ukraine presented reports on the technology of protecting vegetable crops using the company's products, Innova Seeds Ukraine - "Seeds of vegetable and melon crops for the Dnipropetrovsk region", and ICL "From the granules to the harvest!".
Agrico Ukraine in partnership with the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPP) and the Potato Institute of the NAAS of Ukraine will start the Discussion Club to consideration topics relevant to potato growing in the format of communication with leading experts-practitioners.
The main goal of the initiative is to disseminate knowledge and innovative technologies, which is an important contribution to the development of potato and potato seed production, and as a result, ensuring the country's food security.
The UAPP Discussion Club will meet regularly in the specialized hub of the Potato Institute in a mixed format: experts are present in the hub and online.
The topic of the first meeting is "the Preparation of potatoes for planting: soil preparation, crop rotation, weed killing, ploughing, fertiliser application and nutrients".

On February 11, 2025, a training seminar was held in Lviv region on the topic: "Optimal technological solutions for potatoes and vegetables in corrent conditions".
The event brought together farmers from Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, Rivne and Zakarpattia regions, and Kyiv and Dnipro cities.
The organizers of the event were Agrico Ukraine, Adama Ukraine, Innova Seeds Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPP).
Agrico Ukraine's agro-expert represented a report on the response to the challenges for potato growers of the Western region based on the results of the 2024 season, provided advice on actions in critical situations and how to counteract heat stress into potato plants.
The leading varieties of the western region of Ukraine 2024 were: 'Picasso', 'Ranomi', 'Constance', 'Esmee', 'Paradiso'.

Representatives of the Agrico Ukraine took part in the General Meeting of the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPP) on January 9, 2025.
At the annual meeting, members of the UAPP summarized the results of their activities for 2024, analyzed the atypical potato season, accepted new members, and discussed plans for 2025.
During the meeting, Mykola Gordiichuk, Director of the Agrico Ukraine, told colleagues about the seed potato market in the EU, in particular, he informed about the trends concerning volume of potato areas, potato production and yield in the EU during 2017-2024, about the main potato varieties grown in the EU and in France, and predicted the impact of these factors to Ukrainian potato producers.
During the event, the charitable activities of "Agrico Ukraine" and "AF Andriivske" were not overlooked: Certificates of Gratitude were presented for the charitable assistance provided to the Ohmatdyt National Children’s Specialized Hospital.
A seminar dedicated to successful potato cultivation and the challenges of the 2024 season was held in Chernivtsi region on December 18, 2024.
Agrico Ukraine, together with partners Adama Ukraine, Yara Ukraine and Van Dijk Technic Ukraine, gathered more than 30 local farmers and neighboring regions to share their experience of this difficult season for potato growers, provide ways to solve these problems in the future and represent the potato growing innovations.
Agrico experts presented the leading potato varieties in different regions of the country based on the testing results of this season and introduced the technological features of growing these varieties. We presented Agrico varieties of the new generation (Next Generation), among which the 'Paradiso' variety is already successfully grown in Ukraine and varieties that Agrico Ukraine is preparing for state registration in 2025 ('Twister', 'Jolene', 'Napoleon') .
A representative of the company "ADAMA Ukraine" demonstrated optimal technological solutions for potatoes in modern conditions, and also drew attention to the factors affecting the quality of potato storage.
Potato nutrition technology was shared by specialists of the company "YARA Ukraine". Van Dijk Technic Ukraine introduced professional storage systems, which are currently extremely important. Growing high-quality potatoes is very important, and, last but not least, is high-quality potatoes storing.
AGRICO Ukraine Company on December 3, 2024 in the Odessa region, together with partners: the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPP), BASF Ukraine and YARA Ukraine held a Discussion meeting (round table) about Potato Cultivation.
The event brought together representatives of the Southern region: Odessa, Kherson, Mykolaiv and Cherkasy regions. The results of the last season were summarized and discussed: weather conditions and challenges of this season (2024); results of testing and industrial cultivation of Agrico varieties in the South of Ukraine (Odesa and Dnipropetrovsk regions); technological features of the use of agricultural machinery for leading varieties of the Southern region: 'Riviera', ‘Arizona’, ‘Ranomi’, ‘Esmee', ‘Paradiso’; experience and optimization of early potato growing technology in Bukovyna; AGRICO NL breeding directions, including the new generation varieties (Next Generation), as a response to the needs and challenges of today: ‘Paradiso’, ‘Twister’, ‘Jolene’, ‘Napoleon’. BASF UKRAINE and YARA UKRAINE presented interesting and useful information on modern plant protection systems. Also during the event, further cooperation was agreed on testing new varieties ‘JOLENE’ and ‘TWISTER’ in the Southern region, optimization of nutrition and protection systems for varieties in the next season 2025.
The meeting was held to develop seed potato production and potato production in general in Ukraine within the framework of the project: Climate Smart Potato Demonstration Centre, with the support of RVO.
On November 22, 2024, Agrico Ukraine held a seminar concerning modern potato storage technologies with the participation and support of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency, APH Group, Van Dijk Technic Ukraine, ADAMA Ukraine and the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers (UAPP).
The representative of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands - Chris Boogaart, the representative of the Ukrainian Potato Producers Association - Olga Samoilichenko and the director of the Agrico Ukraine - Nick Gordiychuk as well as speakers - specialists on the topic of the Seminar, spoke.
The event was attended by the main producers of the Central and Northern regions to summarize, discuss with partners the challenges of this harvest season and its storage, share new products from the Agrico variety portfolio in Europe and Ukraine, and provide recommendations on the features and conditions of their storage.
The seminar participants were shown a seed potato storage chamber using innovative reverse ventilation technology, which was built as part of a project to support the Ukrainian potato industry by the Government of the Netherlands. The seminar participants were able to see for themselves that, despite the difficult situation in Ukraine with energy supply, seed material for Agrico Ukraine customers is reliably stored in controlled conditions.
On November 7-8, 2024, Agrico Ukraine representatives took part in the Variety and Seedling Show 2024 (Potato Days), held by Agrico in the Netherlands.
This year, the event was entirely dedicated to new-generation Agrico varieties. Currently, Agrico Ukraine LLC has already registered and is successfully growing 6 innovative Agrico varieties in Ukraine, including the Paradiso variety, as well as Napoleon, Twister, Jolene, which have been tested in different regions of our country, and from 2025 we plan to start selling these varieties.
During the visit, Agrico Ukraine representatives also visited the Agrico quality laboratory, exchanged experience with major Dutch farmers in potato cultivation and received practical information on the features of: field preparation for cultivation on heavy clay soils, crop rotation, storage technologies and its preparation for planting, nutrition and protection schemes, the specifics of the use of microelements to increase the number of tubers, etc. The technology for storing seed potatoes using OMNIVENT equipments, which is currently used in the Agrico Ukraine storage facility, was discussed in detail with representatives of the APH Group company.
Agrico Ukraine does not stand still, but is constantly developing. We implement the use of new modern equipment and technologies.
We recently completed the construction of a professional seed potato storage chamber with a capacity of 1,100 tons at the base of our production unit. Modern ventilation systems and climate equipment have been installed. This project is implemented with the support of the Ukraine Partnership Facility, financed by RVO (the Netherlands Enterprise Agency).
In order to improve the qualifications of our staff, on October 18, 2024, specialists of the Agrico Ukraine took a part in online training on managing the potato storage system of the Omnivent company.
Our plans for 2024 also include conducting training for farmers on modern potato storage technologies with the participation of our partners and relevant experts.
In the framework of the Climate Smart Potato Demo Chernihiv project, Agrico Ukraine series of trainng videos (Potato training section) has begun to be prepared. Our training videos will cover the following topics:

On September 24, 2024, a delegation of the Kingdom of the Netherlands visited one of the project locations - the production unit of Agrico Ukraine LLC in the Kyiv region.
The visit took place with the purpose of getting acquainted with the implementation of the Potato Seed Development project - Climate Smart Potato Demo Centre. This project is financed by the government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands as part of the Ukraine Partnership Facility (UPF) program.
On September 18, 2024, the another seminar for potato growers was held: “Potato season 2024. Challenges and technological solutions.” at the production unit of Agrico Ukraine in the Chernihiv region.
The seminar covered the current issues of growing new varieties of Agrico that are resistant to drought and diseases and informed about the results of their trials in the current year.
The partners (Adama Ukraine and Irrigator Ukraine) presented the experience of using an automatic drip irrigation system for growing potatoes in the fields of Agrico Ukraine, the optimal technology of potato protection in modern conditions, the advantages of using drip irrigation for growing potatoes and the use of special equipment for harvesting potatoes using the DeWulf harvester as an example.
Representatives of Agrico Ukraine took an active part in the national event - POTATO UKRAINE 2024, which took place on the basis of the "Eco Tour" farm in Volyn region on August 30, 2024.
During the event, the Agrico Ukraine team presented its varieties, which pleasantly surprised the event participants with their high yield, stress resistance, and compliance with the demanding tastes of the modern consumer.
On August 22, 2024, another seminar was held in Lviv region - "Challenges of the potato growing season 2024. Technological solutions", organized by Agrico Ukraine.

On July 26, 2024, a traditional event for the potato market representatives - "Potato Workshop" was held, aimed at opening new opportunities for cooperation, exchange of experience and meetings with leading industry experts.
The event was held at the warehouse of Agrico Ukraine LLC (Kyiv region, Brovarsky district, Semipolky village) and in partnership with the Syngenta company and APH GROUP, according to the program, the event consisted of a visit to demonstration sites and a lecture part.
On July 12, 2024, Agrico Ukraine held another seminar on the topic "Agrotechnical techniques of successful cultivation of early varieties of potatoes. Demonstration of the GRIMME harvester. Irrigation systems."

As part of the implementation of the project seed potato production development in Ukraine, representatives of the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Ukraine visited the production locations of the project in Chernihiv and Kyiv regions on July 9, 2024.
Within the framework of the project, the creation and functioning of the Potato Demonstration Center in Chernihiv region (Climate Smart Potato Demonstration Center) is implemented.
A joint working meeting was also held with the elected president of the Ukrainian Association of Potato Producers.
